How To Cook on a Camp Stove

Cook on a Camp Stove

Cooking with a camp stove and Bernzomatic propane is a great way to prepare great-tasting meals in the great outdoors.

Directions

  1. Turn the fuel control knob on the stove to OFF. Attach the Camping Propane Cylinder to the stove’s CGA600 Connection.
  2. Follow the grill’s lighting instructions. If a lighter is needed, try the Bernzomatic LTR300 Premium Utility Lighter with a windproof flame. Adjust the grill’s regulator knob to the desired degree of heat.
  3. Place your food on the stove and adjust the heat as desired. Propane burns faster than gas in traditional gas stove, so be sure to have a backup cylinder of propane on hand.

Tips

  • Read our General Safety Precautions before starting your project.
  • Read the instructions that come with your grill and the cylinder label before use.
  • Set your camp stove on a flat, level and stable surface away from anything flammable.
  • A portable windscreen can help your stove stay lit in windy locations.
  • Always store fuel in an upright position after completing your project.
  • Ensure fuel cylinder is pressed firmly into base, if necessary.
