Tool Cleaning

Cleaning dirty tools is not a glamorous job but can be easily done in just a few simple steps. This is a task most people can do themselves with a Bernzomatic torch and just a few essential tools.

  1. Ignite the TS8000 torch head and apply heat to the tool that needs to be clean.
  2. Once the tool has been heated, use a putty knife to remove any putty from the tool.
  3. After the putty has been removed, use the steel wool to shine the blade of the tool.

  • Read our General Safety Precautions before starting your project.
  • Read the instructions that come with your torch before beginning your project.
  • The torch flame should be blue for optimal temperature.
  • Always remove torch from fuel cylinder and store fuel in an upright position after completing your project.
