Solder Wire with a Torch

Soldering wire is a simple project that most people can do themselves with a Bernzomatic Cordless Soldering Iron and just a few essential, inexpensive materials.

Directions

  1. Expose the ends of the wires that are will be used for the connection.
  2. Place the heat shrink over one of the wires, be sure to leave the exposed wire uncovered in order to make the necessary connection.
  3. Using the pliers, make a strong connection between the two exposed wires.
  4. Be sure to heat up your ST 500 Bernzomatic Cordless Soldering Iron, and slowly apply the proper amount of solder in order to make the best connection possible.
  5. Let the solder cool, then place the heat shrink tubing over the new connection.
  6. Using the heat gun attachment, heat up the tubing in order to protect the new connection. 

Tips

  • The torch flame should be blue for optimal temperature.
  • Always remove torch from fuel cylinder and store fuel in an upright position after completing your project.
