Steak Frites with Herb Compound Butter

 

Steps

Butter

  • Soften a half cup of unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced shallots
  • 1 teaspoon minced rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon minced thyme
  • 1 teaspoon minced chives
  • 1 teaspoon minced parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Combine all ingredients and reserve.

Steak

  • One 14 oz New York strip steak
  • Salt and pepper

Liberally season steak with salt and pepper the grill over high heat on both sides until desired temperature is reached (medium rare recommended).

To serve finish steak with 1 tablespoon compound butter and melt with torch. Serve aside your favorite French fries.
