Flaming Strawberry & Banana Sundae


Fire & ice meet in this Flaming Strawberry & Banana Sundae recipe.


  1. In a metal pan add strawberries, bananas, and grand mariner.
  2. Sprinkle sugar over fruit.
  3. Using the Bernzomatic torch, carefully ignite the grand mariner while bruleeing fruit (note: grand mariner will flambé).
  4. Continue to torch until alcohol is burnt off and the fruit is caramelized.
  5. Cool and reserve.
  6. To assemble sundae, put ice cream in bowl, drizzle sauce, 1 tablespoon of walnuts, strawberries, and 1oz of chocolate shavings.
  7. Using Bernzomatic torch, slightly melt chocolate - this process should take 5 seconds.
  8. Add banana, whipped cream, and remaining chocolate shavings and walnuts.
