Burrito Bowls

Camping does not have to mean "roughing it". These burrito bowls make a hearty, protein filled meal. Using only shelf stable ingredients, it’s easy to cook and comes together in less than 10 minutes!

Burrito bowl ingredients


  1. In a small pot, heat 1 cup of water to boiling.
  2. Stir in the minute rice, then add the drained beans so they will reheat while the rice cooks.
  3. Turn off the heat, cover, and let sit 5 minutes (or check package directions).
  4. In a skillet, heat the oil. Add the chicken, corn, and taco seasoning. Saute until cooked through.
  5. To build the bowls, divide the rice & beans, chicken, and corn among bowls.
  6. Top with chopped chiles, salsa, and a squeeze of lime.

  • Jar or canned salsa
  • Lime (optional, if available)
  • Salt to taste
