Beer Braised Ribs

Directions

  1. Place garlic, ginger, 2 tbls of oil in a pan and cook until garlic begins to color.
  2. Add 5 spice, cayenne, and dark beer and cook for 2 minutes before removing from heat.
  3. Season ribs with salt and pepper then place in baking container. Add beer mix.
  4. Cook at 375F for 2.5 – 3 hours. Once tender, remove from oven.
  5. Add char by torching with Bernzomatic torch and then brush with BBQ sauce.
  6. Serve whole or cut in pieces.

  • 3 lbs. pork ribs
  • 2 tsp Chinese 5 spice powder (small)
  • 10 nickel sliced size fresh ginger
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 bottle dark beer
  • Nick Mangold’s Seventy-Four BBQ sauce
  • Garlic
  • Oil as needed
  • Salt & pepper to taste
