Directions

  1. Get a spiced pumpkin cake from your favorite grocery store or bakery and cut into rectangles.
  2. Add quenelles of either white chocolate mousse or whipped cream and place atop the cake.
  3. Form ice cream into square mold and freeze overnight.
  4. Fully coat ice cream with warm chocolate twice to make sure ice cream is fully sealed.
  5. Remove from freezer and place in refrigerator 5 hours before serving to allow ice cream to melt.
  6. Add marshmallow ghosts using fresh marshmallow* or store bought (melted) with pastry bag.
  7. Crumble red velvet cake and toast in oven until crunchy and sprinkle around dish.
  8. Torch with Bernzomatic TS4000 and enjoy!

*For homemade marshmallow: Place 1/3 cup cold water in the bowl of an electric mixer. Sprinkle with gelatin and allow to set for 5 minutes. Separately, bring the 1/4 cup water and sugar to boil in a saucepan. Stir the mixture with a whisk and allow it to boil until 238 degrees. Remove from the heat and pour over the gelatin mixture. Beat on medium speed for 8-10 minutes until soft peaks form.
