BernzOmatic Fat Boy Gassed Up for Talladega

BernzOmatic® Fat Boy™ Gassed and Ready to Debut at Talladega on Jamie McMurray’s No. 26 Ford

BernzOmatic Hopes to Torch the Field as Primary Sponsor of Roush Fenway Fusion for the Official Launch of the New Fat Boy Fuel Cylinder

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. September 29, 2008 - BernzOmatic®, a leading global manufacturer of hand-held torches and accessories, announced today that its all new Fat Boy™ fuel cylinder will debut as the primary sponsor for Jamie McMurray's No. 26 Roush Fenway Racing Ford during this weekend's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Talladega SuperSpeedway.

The car will sport a unique blue and black paint scheme for BernzOmatic’s Fat Boy, an environmentally-friendly fuel cylinder that features 20 percent more fuel than standard fuel cylinders, and will be “gassed” and ready to go Sunday when the green flag falls at 2:00 p.m. (EST).

“We’re having a lot of fun promoting the new ‘Fat Boy’,” laughed McMurray. “Since we are talking about an incredible, new, innovative propane cylinder, we have been able to play on the ‘gas’ theme in a joking manner...things like ‘laugh your gas off’ and ‘Fat Boys have more gas.’”

“We're going to Talladega next weekend with a great car and a really cool paint scheme.  It would be great to put the ‘Fat Boy’ in Victory Lane.  I've always had good cars at Talladega, and with a little help from BernzOmatic, hopefully we'll torch the competition next weekend.”

McMurray has excelled over the years at the 2.66-mile Talladega track, posting three top-five results in 12 starts.

The new Fat Boy cylinders are the latest innovation from BernzOmatic, a leading global manufacturer of hand-held torches and accessories. They contain 20 percent more fuel than standard 14.1 oz. cylinders, providing users with longer run times. Additionally, the cylinders have a 25 percent height reduction for greater accessibility in tight spaces.

Fat Boy propane cylinders meet the environmental demands of today's consumers. The cylinders include patent-pending Green Key® technology, which is a simple device that, when inserted into an empty propane cylinder, releases all remaining fumes, effectively depressurizing the cylinder so it can be recycled by the consumer's local steel recycler.

In addition to refreshed in-store communications, the Fat Boy product launch is being supported by an aggressive marketing campaign, including a "Laugh Your Gas Off" viral marketing campaign where users compete to create the most compelling tag line for the Fat Boy (winner was recently named: Dave Farmer from Center Point, Iowa; Slogan was “A Fat Boy Will Kick Your Skinny Gas”), a national radio advertising campaign, online advertising, and a national sweepstakes.

Fat Boy fuel cylinders are yet another innovation from BernzOmatic, the experts in fire and heat technology, as the company continues to transform the power of the flame into professional quality results. Fat Boy propane cylinders are available at home improvement and hardware stores nationwide.
