What is the temperature of my fuel?
View the gas comparison chart for more details on the various fuel temperatures.

Why is my torch hard to light?
Most torches light better when the valve is just cracked open, and there is a small gas flow.

Can I replace the igniter on my torch?
No. We do not recommend that users replace igniters.

My torch is defective, where can I get it repaired.
Please contact our customer service department or call 1-800-359-9678.

Why will my torch not stay lit when tipped upside down?
When a non regulated brass torch is tipped upside down, the liquid propane in the torch works its way through the torch and blows out the flame. We recommend a pressure regulated torch, such as the TS3000T.

Do you sell replacement igniters?
No. We do not recommend that users replace igniters.

What happened to the QuickFire "drill-style" torch with the small, 1/4 turn cylinder? I can't find replacement fuel for my QuickFire torch.
The QuickFire torch and the QuickFire fuel cylinder were discontinued in October, 2012 and are no longer being manufactured.

Which torch would you recommend to a professional contractor?
The TS8000 is one of our hottest, fastest torches available. Its high intensity ultra swirl flame provides maximum heat and 30% faster soldering time than the TS4000. It includes an instant on/off trigger igniter and adjustable flame control. Plus, durable construction, including a cast aluminum body, ensures this torch is built to last.

What is the warranty on the torch?
BernzOmatic products are guaranteed for one year against manufacturing defects and workmanship.

Why in cold weather do I only get a small flame out of my torch?
The size of the torch flame varies with the pressure in the gas cylinder. When it is very cold there is only a small amount of gas pressure in the cylinder. We recommend a pressure regulated torch, like the TS3000T.

Why did my torch head break at the air holes?
In order to ensure that the cylinder does not break or explode if the torch is accidentally dropped or abused, BernzOmatic torches are designed to break safely at the air holes.

Where can I buy an item that I can't find in a store?
Please contact our customer service department or call 1-800-359-9678.

Can I take gas cylinders on an airplane?
AIR TRAVEL PRECAUTION: Do not pack torches or gas cylinders in your checked or carry-on luggage when traveling by air. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has investigated incidents where micro-torches caught fire or even exploded during loading aboard aircraft. Due to change in pressure, temperature and movement during travel, the risk of damage to property or injury to persons is high. Even if you think the torch is empty, it may contain gas and could ignite.

It is a violation of the Federal Hazardous Materials Regulations to carry on these dangerous items and could result in penalties or imprisonment. To find more information on items to be carried while traveling by air, please see the FAA website for the most recent details.

Can BernzOmatic products be transported on an aircraft?
Most BernzOmatic products are not permitted on aircraft. Visit the FAA Packsafe site for details.

Which torch would you recommend for floor tile removal?
The TS3000T or TS4000, as you can use it upside down for extended periods of time.

My OX2550KC shows a plastic cylinder stand, but I received a small wire stand.
